Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Can’t we do much better for her?
Have our morals declined
To the point that we find
That what’s wrong and what’s right is a blur?
Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Have our selfish desires run amuck?
Are our fam’lies of late
Being raised by the State?
Have our young people run out of luck?
Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Letting Congress do all of our work -
Have we lost all desire
To rekindle the fire
Of the freedom men died to preserve?
Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Do we take what we’re told is for free?
Have we sold our birth-right,
Given up on the fight
To determine our own destiny?
Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Has complacency taken our souls?
Do we not even care
That the vote that we share
Could be one that helps evil take hold?
Hasn’t America suffered enough?
Have we helped spread our moral decay?
Do we laugh at the few
Who would spread Christ anew
When He’s desperately needed today?
