A mother’s role is not eas’ly defined
As she wears many hats day by day;
A doctor, a judge, and a diplomat too,
And to referee kids as they play.
A mother’s role is to nurture her child
From beginning of life till they’re grown
With life-giving food, and a peace-giving love,
And a patience so strong, it’s unknown.
A mother’s role is a teacher as well;
An extension of school and beyond.
She helps them to take what they’ve learned in the class
And apply it to life when they’re gone.
A mother’s job is not ever complete,
Not without her most critical role;
To be the example her children will need
To prepare them both body and soul.
